A thin layer warms better than a heavy sweater
Warmth is retained by still air close to the skin, not by thickness. A fitted cashmere and modal undershirt does exactly that: it keeps the cold out and lets moisture through. On top you can wear a light shirt, a blazer, an open cardigan. You dress as if it were autumn and stay as warm as in winter.

Cashmere & Modal
Ribbed or smooth?
Same yarn, two surfaces. What changes is how visible it is, how warm it feels, and how it drapes. Can't decide? Smooth to disappear underneath, ribbed to be seen.
Smooth
The thinnest and most uniform surface. It disappears under a silk blouse, a white shirt, a fitted dress. It's the most invisible choice, and it's also very elegant when visible, with a boat neck or a turtleneck.
Ribbed
A fine vertical rib that follows the body, with a bit more elasticity and texture. Slightly warmer and more structured. Beautiful worn on its own with jeans or under an open cardigan, not just as underwear.
How it's made
Six things to know before wearing it
Yarn, washing, seams. The details that determine how it feels on the skin and how it ages.
Cashmere
The name comes from Kashmir, the region between India and Pakistan where the yarn originated. A fine, warm fibre: here blended with modal, making up 10% of the composition.
Modal
A soft, breathable cellulose fibre, making up 80% of the knit. It gives a cool hand feel and fluid drape, without bunching under clothes.
Tub washing
After knitting, the garment is washed in large tubs for about 45 minutes. This step is what brings out the softness to its fullest.
Hand linking
After weaving, the garment is hand-linked. The seams are completely flat: they leave no marks under a dress and cannot be felt against the skin.
Elastane
The 10% elastane holds the shape: the neckline and cuffs don't stretch out and the knit stays close-fitting even after many washes.

When it's warm

95% bamboo viscose and 5% elastane: soft and cool on the skin, breathable, close-fitting without feeling tight. Wear it under a shirt at the office from April onwards, on its own when it's really hot, or under a cardigan when the air conditioning goes overboard. The intimate tops range from S to XL and are chosen based on body measurements: S (38/40) bust 79-83 cm, M (42/44) 84-88, L (46/48) 89-93, XL (50/52) 94-98. You'll find the complete guide on each product page. The garment is fitted by design: if you're between two sizes and wearing it underneath, go with the smaller one; if you're wearing it on its own and want more ease, choose the larger one.
The smooth version is not: it's thin, fitted and the seams are flat, so it creates no lines or bulk. Under a white shirt, choose white or beige. The ribbed version has a slight texture: under very fine fabrics it may show slightly, but it's also designed to be worn on its own.

Cashmere and modal from October to March, as a warm first layer under a shirt, sweater or dress. Bamboo for spring and summer: the ribbed tank top is cool and breathable against the skin, ideal under a shirt at the office or on its own. In transitional seasons they can also be layered: bamboo underneath, cashmere and modal on top.
No. Cashmere is a fine fibre and modal has a smooth, cool hand: together they create a soft surface, without the itchiness of coarse wool. The hand-linked seams are flat and don't chafe. If your skin is very reactive, the smooth version is the most delicate choice.
In the washing machine at 30° on a delicate cycle, or by hand, without bleach. We recommend turning it inside out, avoiding a fast spin and not using the dryer: lay it flat to dry, away from direct heat sources. Treated this way, it retains its feel and shape for a long time.
Cashmere, like all noble fibres, may pill slightly in areas of friction, especially in the first few weeks. Here it makes up 10% of a modal yarn, so the phenomenon is very limited. To minimise it: gentle wash inside out, no tumble dryer, and if any pills appear they can be removed with a knitwear comb.
Yes. The ribbed, the animal print and the lace knit are meant to be seen: with jeans, under an open blazer, with a skirt in the evening. Plain smooth styles look great on their own with tailored trousers. It's intimate because it sits on the skin, not because it needs to be hidden.
