Health socks: what you need to know
Ciocca elastic-free, non-compression health socks in Scottish thread, wool and cotton.
Ciocca non-compression health socks are elastic-free socks, with a double-height cuff or a folded cuff with laser cut or raw cut edge. They do not exert pressure on the calf, leave no marks and stay in place. They are not compression socks or a medical device.
The 6-pair pack in cool cotton is described for people with circulation problems and for diabetics: double cuff, no constriction. The Scottish thread and wool models are also suitable for peripheral circulatory disorders. They remain comfort socks, not a therapeutic device. In case of pathology, the reference remains the doctor.
Elastic and compression socks work on the calf with an intentional pressure. Ciocca health socks do the opposite: zero compression, no elastic, a cuff that supports without squeezing. If your doctor has prescribed compression socks, those remain the device to follow.
On men's socks the cuff is twice as tall as a traditional sock: it is the knit that holds, without pressure. On women's socks the edge is a laser-cut fold or a raw cut. In both cases the sock does not slide down the leg.
Scottish thread is for spring and summer, short or long. Wide-rib merino wool is for autumn and winter. Warm cotton and cool cotton are the women's socks, with a laser-cut or raw-cut edge. The elastic-free construction is the same.
Not the entire range. The Scottish thread and wool models, both short and long, are made in Italy, in Quinzano d'Oglio. Warm cotton, cool cotton and the 6-pair pack come from a different supply chain.
Short ones reach the ankle, long ones reach the knee. It is a matter of coverage, not compression: both are elastic-free.
Sizes follow the shoe size and cover two numbers, for example 40/41. If in doubt, the product page shows the size guide. Without elastic, a size that is too large may not stay on the calf.
No. They are non-compression socks, designed for those who cannot tolerate elastic. They do not replace compression socks or devices prescribed by a doctor.
Elastic-free support socks: how to choose
Ciocca support socks are socks without elastic and without compression. The cuff is twice as high on men's socks, laser-cut or raw-cut on women's: it keeps the sock in place without marking the calf. They are not a medical device and do not replace prescribed compression stockings.

For her, the warm cotton sock with laser-cut cuff and the cool cotton sock with raw-cut cuff. For those who want a supply, the 6-pair pack in cool cotton, described for circulation and diabetes.
